gutenberg is the techno / industrial solo project of shouji sakurai from aichi, japan. 'coordinate' is a sonic cocktail from experimental sound treatments, fragile idm tunes, classic industrial noises, drones and fat synthesized beats. two tracks have been enriched with voice by xu (mionokage/faktoria).
concept of this album are the structure of garments: the fabric is treated, cutted, folded, blurred, coloured, pasted and stitched to become a piece of fashion. gutenberg is following this this formula to create his intoxicating translation. field recordings and metallic percussion blocks are the basis for his tracks, gutenberg bridges sinister abstraction with powernoise’s brutalist structures and frenetic beats.
