This long-awaited fifth album from the legendary Bristol trip-hop pioneers comes almost exactly seven years after their 2003 opus '100th Window'. With founder member Grantley "Daddy G" Marshall back in the band and a host of famous vocal collaborators on board including Damon Albarn, Hope Sandoval and Tunde Adebimpe, it has a remarkably distinct sound from any of their earlier works, at times even recalling Nick Cave. Features the tracks 'Pray For Rain' and 'Splitting The Atom' from the 2009 EP of that name.

Apparatjik (pronounced Apa-rat-chik) is a supergroup that consists of bassist Guy Berryman from Coldplay, singer/guitarist Jonas Bjerre of Mew, guitarist/keyboardist Magne Furuholmen from A-Ha, and producer Martin Terefe. The band's name literal translation is 'agent of the apparatus'. Apparatjik is the Swedish word for apparatchik, which is a word of Russian origin and is used to describe 'people who cause bureaucratic bottlenecks in otherwise efficient organizations'.
