Dutch electro act Synthetica released their
second album 'The City of Dis', inspired by the famous Dante's Inferno
and bands like Tactical Sekt and Skinny Puppy.
There has always been fear for the end of times. Synthetica's first
album focussed on possible ways for the world to end. Their second
release goes beyond this and describes the afterlife according to Dante
Alighieri, a 14th century writer.
Besides this central theme, subjects as industrial and economical
progression throughout the centuries are embedded in the new songs.
The tracks contain a wide variety of electro, from mesmerizing ambient
melodies to harsh and violent beats. Ed Schaap created the artwork,the
music was arranged by Satan himself. Prepare for a 68 minute journey
through the heart of darkness.
