The debut by the Italian duo called Public Domain Resource is an important novelty in the alternative-electro
panorama. Founded in 2012, the project combines stylistically various electronic elements mainly directing
its sound in a high-class technological-pop direction, privileging atmospheres and sounds aimed the ultramodernism:
the drum-programming beats pulse at variable speed mesmerizing and inviting to dance,
assembling them with precision to the vocal sections often processed by alien filtering and to the
stereograms designed by synths. Their first album "Dead Surface", produced and mixed by Rob Early from
the American band Retrogramme, will make know and appreciate to the masses these two new artists of the
electronic sound, being it a product of extraordinary effectiveness. The tracklist includes fifteen tracks, two
of them remixed by the excellent TourdeForce and by the same Retrogramme: all songs are specially planned
to attract and entertain the listener who will be wrapped by fluid, orderly frequencies, geometrically perfect,
creating a kaleidoscope of futuristic and sophisticated images. The professional sound -system and the
solutions applied highlight the solid pop-electronic culture owned and matured since the 80s by the Public
Domain Resource, as well as an admirable sagacity in being able to generate melodies and rhythms that
balance the coldness of machines and the perception of a human presence behind them. "Dead Surface" is
an unmissable release, provided with each feature to be evaluated positively by the more refined electro -
fans: the magnetic flux radiated by this full-length will exert on them all its attractive force, imposing to their
will long, unforgettable series of plays.
