It seems like only a couple of weeks since we announced a
CYGNOSIC album - oh, wait a minute, that's because it WAS only a
couple of weeks ago...yet...here's ANOTHER!
"Fallen", the second album from Greek dark electro outfit
CYGNOSIC - and first album for DWA - was the surprise "sleeper"
hit of 2011-2012.
Released with little fanfare last autumn almost simultaneously
with SURGYN's "Vanity", "Fallen" seemed likely to be eclipsed
amidst the feeding-frenzy of excitement that greeted the Scottish
duo's debut album.
Yet this solidly-written sophomore effort from CYGNOSIC, expertly
mixed and mastered by Dmitris N. Douvras (SIVA SIX) more than
held its own in sales terms...in fact outselling SURGYN and every
other new act signed to DWA in 2011.
With the initial 200 digipak quantity of "Fallen" all but sold
out, to commemorate the anniversary of this landmark release DWA
is now pleased to present a re-issue in an expanded 2CD
collector's edition in 6-panel digifile...complete with 12-track
CD2 "Risen" comprised of 9 new and previously unreleased remixes
rounded out with 3 rare tracks previously available only in
digital form..at the same 2,000 Yen retail price of the original!
"Risen" is the entire "Fallen" album remixed and presented in
reverse track-order (ooh - how Satanic) - remixes coming from
established names like FREAKANGEL, DIFFUZION and STUDIO-X, cult
underground acts like DE TOT COR and AKTIVEHATE, to emerging
talent like Russia's CUTOFF: SKY....supplemented by tracks taken
from the now-deleted digital-only EP ôOne Step Forwardö and
TERRORKODE's remix from the download-only compilation ôRedactedö,
here getting a first-time release on CD.
Mastered once more in its entirety by Dmitris N. Douvras of SIVA
SIX at Lunatech Sound Studios near Mount Olympus, "Risen" forms
the perfect accompaniment to the original "Fallen" album - and
the 2CD Limited Edition the ultimate collector's edition version
of this outstanding example of the harsh EBM / dark electro
genre.
"Fallen - 2CD Limited Edition" comes in 6-panel digifile,
strictly limited to 200 copies worldwide.
