"We are CENTHRON, raise your fist!"
Created in the winter of 2001, CENTHRON started life as an
electronic intimacy between Elmar Schmidt
(voice/synth/programming) and Joerg Herrmann (Progamming)
resulting in their first demo "Melek Taus" in 2002, as CENTHRON
did not want to arrive for their first gig, supporting
FEINDFLUG, without a recorded product...
After their first two albums, "Lichtsucher" in 2003 and
"Gottwerk" in 2006, both released on very underground kind of
labels, the project finally released "Roter Stern" on Scanner in
2009 - an album that was great success for Scanner and CENTHRON
alike, leading to the band being invited by German shooting
stars AGONOIZE on their big German tour.
Since then the project played with the likes of SUICIDE
COMMANDO, REAPER, PSYCLON NINE, GRENDEL, SOMAN and many more,
and Elmar Schmidt has been working hard in his studio to create
- in a megalomaniac sort of way û without a doubt the most
danceble CENTHRON album ever: "Dominator"! The fat sound of the
album is again mixed by Jan L., and displays an aggressiveness
that even in the harshest of all electroscenes will fail to find
comparisons; "Dominator" is bound to dominate the
industrial/electro dancefloors this spring!
