A full-format album of esoteric-noise project. The project of one person AKPAN has arisen in
2005 in Krasnogorsk, a city situated near Moscow. Creative inspirers of AKPAN are Siberian
shaman practitioners, a booming echo of ancient shaman stratum - a religion of bon-po in
Buddhism and modern noise landscapes of dark ambient. Therefore it is no wonder that the
music created by the project AKPAN is a deep, hypnotic and gloomy mix of "enveloping"
ambient, the Tibetan mantras and shaman rhythms. In a recording of the album "Schwarze
Sonne" in addition to studio dark ambient "backgrounds", guimbarde, throat singing, a
self-made wind instrument - the analogue of the Tibetan pipe, percussion on various metal
designs were used. If one draws parallels with the western artists, the works of AKPAN will
be interesting to those who have in their collection INADE, HERBST9, ritual music of Tibet,
PREDOMINANCE, early CURRENT 93, SIGILLUM S, Alexey Tegin and group PHURPA, NORDVARGR,
TOROIDH..
