Poliça's sixth album, Dreams Go, continues their signature sound with tasteful soundscapes and ethereal vocals but offers no new ideas. The album has a subdued and elegiac character, reflecting the theme of buried dreams. This somber atmosphere is compounded by the news of bassist Chris Bierden's illness, whose playing is a driving force on some tracks. Despite quality composition, many songs lack depth and create a soporific, one-dimensional impression. Although the album successfully conveys its intended feeling of emptiness, it does not stand as an engaging collection of music.
