(P)URGE is a sometimes unsettling, yet soothing and immersive collection of tracks that tell a story of broken realities through experimental electronica, darkwave synths, glitchy soundscapes and Eastern European influences. The record melds hypnotic melodies, industrial textures, and layered vocals in exploring themes of mysticism, collapse, resilience and yearning. It was inspired by surreal literature, personal struggle, and the wretched state of affairs all over us. (P)URGE is both intimate and cinematic. It is raw and emotional. It is the sound of a world falling apart – and yet attempting to make sense of the wreckage. (P)URGE is a modern EBM experience.
