Eve Schwarz and Cody Lobbestael’s paths crossed coincidentally due to common friends in the electronic realm and a similar sonic background and vision. Spontaneously the idea of a collaboration emerged as both sides at that time felt a little stuck in their creative process yet inspired by the other one’s approach. Supplied with VELDT’s live-recorded analogue drum loops, Eve started snipping and layering and giving four different sessions the shape of a track and a unique identity balancing industrial power with club characteristics. The reference to the classical ballet terms in title and track IDs is the result of the quite unknown David Lynch short film “Ballerina” running in the background during the studio works - which created, despite an obviously harsh contrast, still a deeply sensual harmony and autonomous symbiosis as an audio-visual experience. The release also features contributions from artists and remixers such as Dolgener, Tomohiko Sagae, Nemrac, and Cranya.
