When THE BREATH OF LIFE released their stellar “Echoes Of Time” anthology last year, retracing nearly four decades of captivating creativity, they hinted that their 11th album was on the way.
Then came an unexpected pause. Lead singer Isabelle Dekeyser had to put everything on hold to face serious health challenges with unwavering resilience. But 2024 ended on a high note: THE BREATH OF LIFE returned to the stage and the studio, stronger than ever.
Now, they break the silence with a brand-new 4-track EP and an official video clip. “Slowly Crashing” is a haunting dive into restless nights, blending ethereal vocals with pulsing basslines and electrifying guitars. A dark yet hypnotic journey that contrasts beautifully with the energy of their previous single, “Down We Go”. Both tracks also receive a fresh electronic twist in remixed versions by KEZDOWN.
Adding a special touch, THE BREATH OF LIFE deliver an inspired post-punk/new wave reinterpretation of “The Part You Can’t See”, originally by their Belgian electro-pop label mates PSY’AVIAH.
As they step into 2025, THE BREATH OF LIFE - Isabelle Dekeyser (vocals), Philippe Mauroy (guitar, drum programming), Giovanni Bortolin (violin, keyboards), and Didier Czepczyk (bass) - prove that their artistry still burns bright.
