Corps Diplomatique were founded in Marseille (France) in 1984 by Olivier Aubin and Nicolas Pélissier. Soon they were joined by Patrick Loubet and Marie Eve Bensussan. Corps Diplomatique stunned the Marseilles scene in the mid-1980s with their striking back-and-forth between cold wave and synthetic pop-rock. From 1986, the group continued their musical adventure in the Paris region, picking up on the new winds of electro sounds along the way. They were active until 1988, doing lots of concerts, radio and TV appearances. They released one 7'' single (Paradis I & II) and contributed to legendary compilations such as “La Muse Vénale” or “Playground Noises”. This massive 31-tracks double-CD collects all known studio material from this influential French act, plus 3 rare live-recordings from the 80s.
