TON is an experimental studio and sound design project from Berlin. The EP manages to merge Post−Punk and Noise (Rock), Dark Wave, Doom, Industrial and Electronic Music, creating a wide scenery of sounds on 'Rooms'. All the notes guide the listener through a concept of sonic spaces, each forming its own auditory identity and experience. The project commununicates the change of connotation, meaning, expression and perception through the recontextualisation, staging and alienation of a note, a genre or a sequence. This idea first took place by means of temporal deformation of a sound on tape recorders − TON's contemporary tool is the DAW and sound design. The computer and the studio are equally played instruments like guitar and drums. On 'Rooms', TON create a sometimes monotonous, sometimes complex environment, which constantly changes and crossing genres through its arrangements and production.
