Since 2007 MUR & ESCH have collaborated in the studio and on stage. "120 Tage - The Fine Art of Beauty and Violence", is the brand new album from this Liaison Dangereux. "Candy Cane" & "The Wound" are set to be big hits, causing a buzz in the clubs in addition to new versions of Mona Murs classic darker wave ballads. In the 80s, together with FM Einheit, Alexander Hacke and Mark Chung of the "Einstuerzende Neubauten", Mona Mur proved responsible for acclaimed songs such as "Snake" or "Eintagsfliegen". Other collaborations include "The Stranglers", "Yello", The Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and Raymond "PIG" Watts.
Their new album also includes three songs by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, of which "The Ballad of drowned girls" perhaps for the first time, will appear in a modern version. Inspired by the intensity of the other pieces, the Kurt Weill Foundation New York has given one of their rare permissions to tackle this classic from the "Berliner Requiem", which until now had only been heard in the original format.
