'Sittenverfall' is the debut full-length album from Schallfaktor that earlier have released an EP called 'End of Love' that also was their first official release.
At first I was a bit disturbed by the vocal effects they are using and mistook them for just about all the other really bad voice effects almost every EBM band use nowadays, but after a couple of minutes I found them to be quite compelling actually and since you are able to hear what words are being used, the effects got on my list of approval.
Schallfaktor is like riding industrial train carrying foam-rubber mattresses, it's not a very varied ride, but you are surely having a comfortable trip. The beat is not changing that much and the loops are pretty basic, but it works and it works well. My absolute favourite tracks are "Promiskuitiv" and "Mir", where the last mentioned one is sung in Serbian and the chorus "Dosta je rata" means "Enough War" and have a really nice verbal rhythm.
This album works well until about the eight track, "Infinity" which is an instrumental track and after that I think the album looses its flow and I become quite uninterested. Anyways, this is a very good debut and I'm surely looking forward to future releases.
