It was just a few weeks ago when the preceding single 'Days'
came to our attention with its classic yet somewhat fresh gothic
Wave sound and now the upcoming new album 'Arrhythmia' has
arrived and one could be curious.
The opener 'Resurrection' takes the listener into a dark night
underlined with shapeless electronic sounds to be carried on by
light drums and saddening guitar chords ad synths. With a
weightless piano melody and faster drumming begins 'Slowly
Decaying' and this time the more present guitar riffs have a
bigger share on the atmospheric make up of it and just when you
speak of guitars more of them come down your way on æTo RunÆ
during which the indie part of the music is put to the fore. The
guitars get harder sometimes and the synths step in the
background to certain extend, however on 'Ashes Down' they're
getting more room to unfold again and hover over the track as
usual, still the indie attitude is very prominent only this time
it's a coexistence where they form a unified whole and
complement each other. 'Face a Wall' takes off with the full
drum set with a little more pressure behind it, however when the
strings and piano join in there's this weightless melancholy
again and Olli delivers a prime performance on the vocals .
'Arrhythmia' holds what the appetizing single promised. Nice
Gothic Wave with tons of atmosphere which will work in many
clubs just as it will at home.
