What started out as home recordings during endless hours of pandemic boredom and an increasingly urgent need to scream at the fucked state of modern life has become one of Florida's most promising experimental EBM slash slash electro-punk acts. KT Kink is still a relatively new project, but her live actions and urgent anthems are up there with the best in dark-pop here in the South. The songs on "Naivety" span moods and textures and styles effortlessly, from the smoldering synth washes of "Damn Flies" to the panicked propulsion of "Rockets" and "Eat Glass" down through the title track's industrial grandeur. The whole affair is presided over by a voice, THE voice(!) that brings to mind Siouxsie Sioux, Gitane Demone and Vanessa Briscoe Hay in equal measures. More essential sounds from the outer limits of Orlando. Keep up.
