Bloodless is the second single from Swedish electro/post-punk outfit Agent Side Grinder’s upcoming album ‘Jack Vegas’. It’s a dark disco tune, fuelled by distorted vocals, deep Moog bass and Moroder-esque retro string machines. Just like the band’s previous single ‘Waiting Room’, ’Bloodless’ is a song of observation and reflection on society — through the lens of the marginalized. Genre-wise Agent Side Grinder has always existed in some kind of twilight zone. Deeply rooted in early electronic and industrial music as well as proto and post punk, their sound is driven by iterative, suggestive beats and sudden bursts of untamed ferocity, built on equal parts dissonant samples and elegant melodies. Their upcoming album ‘Jack Vegas’, preceded by the singles ‘Waiting Room’ and ‘Bloodless’, will be out on Progress Productions spring 2023.
