Fernes Land (1987 Edit) is actually the original version of the track we recorded during our Midsummer session of 2019. The version that ended up on the album is a total make over version we did just just prior to the album release. We did revisit the original version recently and did some post production on the audio tracks and felt that this needed to be released to the world.
We call it the "1987 Edit" because it got a more clear FM synth driven bassline, marching sampler drum beats, more gate reverb and a more overall cold, yet still very epic, feeling to it. A sound, we at least, associate with the year 1987.
We also added remixes from 3 interesting and upcoming artists.
First out is the Stuttgart based German techno producer Sebastian Vogelsang that makes a fast bunker techno make over of Europa.
Strikkland is a relatively new bearded EBM act from Greater Gothenburg, Sweden. They make a more analog and stripped down hardhitting EBM version of the song Schauspiel
Last but not least we have the boyband Chrome Corpse from Seattle, USA (although 1 of 2 singers is a Frenchman based in Paris). They do yet another take on the song Fernes Land with their American flavored funky FM synth EBM.
