IVERSEN are an East-London based retro-futuristic pop project, primarily composed of Josh Iverson & Jonny Royall. Driven by borrowed nostalgia, the films of Nicolas Winding Refn and Bruce Hornsby, Josh’s confessional songwriting speaks of love, lust and the anxieties that lay between, drenched in synth & shimmering guitar. IVERSEN are signed to independent Cardiff-based label TimeSlave Recordings. House Plants is a soaring and infectious collection of soul-baring anthems that marries Josh Iverson’s confessional, expressive songwriting with Jonny Royall’s maximalist production. Written and primarily recorded at their respective homes, House Plants is undeniably and proudly a DIY product; an exercise in exposing and nurturing its openness and vulnerability through concept to performance.
