With "Retour De La Nuit", Déception re imagines their first EP, "Une Autre Nuit", by mixing their naïve song writing with more mature instrumentals and compositions. With the opportunities of playing live, the band wanted to continue playing their old songs but in a newer light. As their style evolved, they slowly changed the instrumentals of these old songs to match their darker compositions; a new story line. Heavily inspired by 80s horror movies, this LP marks a new chapter for the band. Finally move on and embracing a darker sound, a goal they are slowly trying to achieve, they borrow from post-punk, darkwave, synth-pop, and electronic pioneers.
