They’re back! After having worked on their own respective main projects, our pair of dancefloor hit-makers return with their new album Disconnected”. This unique collaboration between UK artist/DJ Simon Carter and Australia’s hard dance studio guru Lawrie Masson remains focused on the modern dancefloor electronic style while stretching the eclectic creative approach to the next level, incorporating more complex sound manipulations, toying with more emotive lyrics and contrasting vocal parts while treating us with yet more melodic mayhem intertwined with industrial noise and danceable dark-elektro. This cutting-edge sonic journey jumps from hard-hitting industrial-techno, mixing harsh male vocals combined with angelic female vox (“Disconnected”) to more technoid vocoded analogue cuts (“The Only One”) through more brutal and EBM/dark elektro oriented moments with the oppressive “Ghosts”, the creepy deep and full on bassline hit “Nightlife” or yet the viral “Hurting” featuring extremely distorted harsh vocals by AVARICE IN AUDIO’s frontman. The duo also enjoys exploring more melodic driven electro Synthwave with an 80’s touch (“Burning Fire”) while continuing to deliver stunning female fronted songs (courtesy of the mesmerising vocal talents of Bridgette Collins) infused with huge techno elements and EDM stabs like the addictive “Choices”, the re-imagined upbeat version of “I’m Alive” and the unmatched emotional heartbreaking hypnotizing pearl “Our Promise”.
