NeverNotGoth is a brand new subsidiary from Graveface Records (Casket Girls, Xiu Xiu, Appleseed Cast, Tokyo Shoegazer etc). Ryan Graveface realized as soon as he moved to Savannah GA in 2010 that there was no goth/darkwave scene locally and in 2019 decided to start a label and corresponding monthly goth night in the city. The NeverNotGoth label will reissue obscure darkwave/industrial/goth gems but will also release new artists. The first of which we present to you today (yes, for those keeping track we put out 2 test releases earlier in the year...you're not crazy).
Fawning is a goth'y dream pop trio from the Bay area featuring Cheyenne Avant (who is also in Night School). Their music is equal parts serene and beautiful and at times, borderline creepy. Perfect music for autumn. Cheyenne and Devin Nunes met many years ago while playing shows together with their previous projects. Fawning was originally formed only as a recording project but in mid-2019, decided to transition to a live band with the addition of Eddie Salgado on bass to complete the lineup. The band cites Cocteau Twins, Cranes, & Julee Cruise as influences for their debut EP.
