Sometimes we’re forced to “sit on” an album for an indeterminate length of time, for any number of reasons – be they related to distribution, production, bonus tracks, you name it… Thus has it been with this, the third and by far the darkest album from RUINIZER - the main thrust of which actually cleared audio mastering back in May last year yet only now finally sees the light of day after innumerable delays relating to both artwork and the “rescue” of bonus material long believed lost in hard drive failure… But what a beast of an album prevails in the end – and in what a peach of a package. Mastered like every RUINIZER album so far by Jan L of NOISUF-X at his X-Fusion Music Production facility in Germany, with “The Faceless Aberration” Jay Ruin has returned almost full circle to the industrial black metal roots of his original and highly-regarded project CEDIGEST. The accompanying cover art comes in equally brutal monochrome from Canadian illustrator Tim Lane.
