It’s almost one year ago that the Swedish one-man assault squad ELM
initiated his revolution in the old-school EBM communities with the
“Edge” EP. Today comes “Kampftrinker”, the second single taken from the
“Hardline” album which was described by many EBM referrals as “THEEE
Electronic Body Music album of the year 2016. “A classic EBM album that
deserves its place next to the best work from NITZER EBB, FRONT 242 or
POUPPEE FABRIKK”.
“Kampftrinker” is definitely another true EBM club classic for all
dancefloor warriors with its in-your-face bass-lines, aggressive German
vocals and stomping beats! Peter Elm recorded three new versions of the
song with the straight blast “Slacht!-Mix”, a groovy fat and funky
rework with the “Steiner Parker-Mix” as well as a short and hard-hitting
“Hard Club-Mix”.
Add to this a stripped down analogue version of the powerful song
“Fighter”, plus an exclusive bonus track “Blackout” offering what ELM
makes best: Well-crafted EBM with tight basslines, powerful vocals and
strong lyrics and a top notch “less-is-more” production style.
