Lichtbeuger is the brain child of Drew Lyon and Adam Colegrove. Formed
in New Zealand in March 2011 and originally called Red Lights of Damn,
"our goal has been to emulate 90s EBM and Electro-Industrial for reasons
of pure self-indulgence, with no real intention of breaking new musical
ground. The name means “light deflector” and in many ways the light is
truly bent by our live shows!" - Drew The purpose of the EP was to
explore a multitude of themes & sounds with every song."He Came Up"
is based around an episode of Supernatural about a Cross Roads Demon.
"Cobalt" is about the Chinese tradition of Ghost / Spirit Marriages
where the partner is deceased or they both are. You will find a good
array of sounds and arrangements in this Lichtbeuger EP! All 6 tracks have their own personality and differ from each other They
definitely have influences of the 90's with evolution of todays sounds
as well! Punchy songs with power and melody as well, built for
dancefloors and INDUSTRIAL/ EBM RADIO SHOWS!! A very good DEBUT CD here
and we look forward to their future!
