(super)naturally we settled on the traditionally (in)auspicious number
of 13 for the total of tracks to treat you to.But then, looking back
a bit we could see further opportunities for fiendish frivolity – and
once the dreadful idea had whispered itself into our ears we were
powerless to do anything other than double the devil’s bargain and
sacrifice a second set of songs on the altar of our own
amusement…including some that have languished long in the vaults,
gathering digital dust.13, that became 13 + 13. Those 13 to be
available then for 13 days – in a riddle of a cinematic reference that
we expect no-one to unravel except perhaps Mike Treveloni of ALTER DER
RUINE.Yes - you should spirit this swiftly away before first light
on Friday the 14th (obviously “Friday the 13th” *would* have been more
appropriate). Because at that point it will be laid to rest and
evaporate into the ether to become the stuff of legends, forever
haunting the hidden and forbidden farthest recesses of Russian and
Mexican MP3 sites, where it will suffer an ignominious eternity of
endless DMCA takedown notices.Speaking of piracy, take note please
