Seattle based More Machine Than Man is EDM at its finest: electro merged
with gritty guitars, pop sensibilities and strong songwriting. After
their 'Dark Matter' release, this EP, 'Something Ventured, Nothing
Gained', just emphasizes this band’s talent and growth continuing to
push them to the forefront. How can you go wrong with catchy tracks and
remixes that are as strong as they are diverse?
Includes remixes by: STEVIL (Steve from KMFDM and PIG), Legion Within,
GoFight, Ego likeness, Razed in Black, Panic Lift and I:scintilla.
Produced by Wade Alin. Guest vocals by Daniel Neet of The Clay People.
Band bio:
More Machine Than Man continues to avoid the trend and cliché within the
Goth Industrial genre that guarantees commercial viability, but MMTM
draws more directly on the strong songwriting tradition of The Cure and
Depeche Mode. The pop accessibility of MMTM songs is closely in line
with crossover successes like Garbage and Nine Inch Nails. Though More
Machine incorporates strong heavy metal elements, the overall effect of
Dark Matter is similar to contemporaries IAMX and Binary Park.
