With „Trial And Error“, the Berlin-based Electro-band Solitary
Experiments launches a dance floor compatible appetizer for their
upcoming album unto the world right in time for Pentecost. Limited to
1000 copies in a hand numbered Digipak and sporting 11 songs, remixes
and extended versions at album length, the Maxi-CD is a real bargain
deal!
Solitary Experiments, Germany’s most successful tightrope walkers
between Electro Pop and harder synthetic sounds make a spectacular
return. As an adequate appetizer for their new album “PHENOMENA”
(scheduled for August 2013), the Berlin-based quartet releases the new
Maxi-CD “Trial And Error” on May 17th, right on time for Pentecost. “Why
think small when you can go big?” seems to have been the band’s motto,
as the strictly limited release (1000 copies in a hand numbered Digipak)
sports a total of 11 tracks, thus easily reaching album length. The
title track is a vibrant tune with hard beats and an aura of instant
catchiness which reminds of the golden age of the Future-Pop-movement in
the most positive way. A song that is destined to become a club
classic, “Trail And Error” has anthemic qualities without leaning to the
shallow side and is a picture perfect example of the band’s
straightforward motto: “solid & catchy!” The b-side “Eye Of The
Storm” is also an instant earworm with highly addictive qualities. With
an extended cut of the title song plus a superb collection of highly
creative and versatile remixes and reinventions (from names like
Rotersand, Heimataerde and many more) of both the a- and b-side plus the
group’s hits “Delight” and “Déjà Vu”, this extended CD Maxi release
also offers a ton of extra club-compatible material. Electrohead, what
more could you wish for? One word of advice, though: the group’s
previous limited single releases sold out in no time. Hence, better be
quick to grab this one if you really want it. And always remember:
prolonged abstinence from Solitary Experiments’ music can cause a severe
deficiency syndrome!
