END-TEK is the side project of mortum [aka HUMAN VAULT] officially since 2005. Aftre releasing the first studio album in 2008, the project submerged into inactivity for many years. In 2016, the second album already predicted the future sound of END-TEK. More layered melodies housed in complex rhythm patterns and electro sequencing. A few years later in 2019, the third studio album, Mortal Sequence, was completed, yet has never been released digitally to the larger public. Although the short-run cassette version of this release was sold out quickly, the label did not share the audio on The Web. Mortal Sequence is a very complex, emotionally depressive and deep album that introduces ambient, IDM electro moments in the sonic realm of END-TEK just as it also brings vocal on one track. It is not a happy techno music which takes you to the dance-floor and makes you forget about all the troubles in the world around you. It is an audio treatment that opens your soul up to all the suffering and dread, the world just can provide. The album that leaves you behind wondering about the mere definition of happiness.
This sonic journey has never been released as digital before. It was not produced to meet all the standards of modern era digital DAW audio processing. It is 80 percent of hardware composition and 20 percent of digital sampling, post editing, but 100 percent of pain and sorrow.
