Torture Gallery unites David Christian (CERVELLO ELETTRONICO) and Claus Larsen (LEÆTHER STRIP) in a collaboration that deliberately operates outside the established frameworks of both artists. The album unfolds between stark minimal structures, cold mechanical sequencing and phases of dense industrial force, shifting from restrained repetition to slow, pounding intensity. Vocals play a central role throughout - from direct, confrontational delivery and slogan-like phrasing to distant, almost dissolved layers embedded within the sound. We have to address the elephant in the room: the reference is obvious, and it is no coincidence that TORTURE GALLERY first appeared on a Dive/Klinik tribute release. The language of late 80s and early 90s industrial electro is present in its purest form - sparse rigid patterns and strict cold mechanical arrangements. The opening sets the tone with a dark, soundtrack-like piece, establishing a sinister atmosphere before the material tightens into locked, loop-driven patterns. Steep, sequencer-driven tracks with aggressive spoken vocals contrast with more atmospheric (i.e. threatening) passages, where the voice recedes into the mix or takes on a diffused presence. At its most reduced, the material reaches a level of icy precision while other moments lean into classic industrial density, with distortion building in waves and vocals shifting towards pure expression rather than articulation. This is not a reconstruction. What is revisited here is executed with a level of precision, weight and experience that pushes the material beyond mere homage. “Opening Wounds Of The Shocking Truth” builds steadily, until everything converges in a final, condensed peak. The closing remix by AH CAMA-SOTZ shifts the perspective - less aggressive, more fluid and rhythm-driven, adding a darker, more elusive aftertone. What remains drifts beneath thesurface - faint, but impossible to ignore.
