From our 27-year career, we have many songs that were never released. We’re now starting to share a selection of singles and EPs from the archive. They’ve been mastered with a light touch; these recordings sound the way they sound, and they are what they are. :) The second EP, Lost Tapes: Abortions, features four tracks. Cleansing Heat and Red Mercy appeared on several early demo CDs. Perfect Sense will give you an overdose of budget Roland synths, e.g. the classic Alpha Juno “hoover” sound, along with ring-modulated sounds from the JX-8P and drums from Boss DR-660 and Kurzweil K2000. On these early tracks, the Roland Juno-60 was usually used for synth bass, and guitar was prevalent as supporting texture and accompaniment (recorded with 100W Marshall 2x12 in Hans’ bathroom!). No software synths, no amp modeling. Definitely no auto-tune. Vocals on Beautiful Life weren’t even recorded to hard-disk but went straight to DAT master!
