Bwganod (boo-GAH-nod) is a Dungeon Synth entity straddling the mist-drowned borders of Wales and England. Here, their debut offering, Trwy ddrysau dychmygol – Through Imaginary Doors – was not merely recorded, but conjured. Birthed entirely from a Sony PlayStation 1 in a single, unbroken live invocation. No modern instruments. No hidden machinery. Every tone, every hiss of static, every distant echo was torn from the console itself – its memory bent to will, its circuitry coerced into song through the ritualistic triggering of samples via cold plastic controllers Over two cloistered days inside a decaying Victorian house in North London, the work was written and performed as though summoned rather than composed. The walls listened. The cables breathed. All titles are etched in Welsh – a language of old hills, drowned valleys, and half-remembered spirits – the only tongue fitting for music that feels less performed than unearthed..
