'"Black Swarm" was the alias which Reprise and Mute Records used for Depeche Mode, on the pre-released promo copies of "Playing The Angel" and "Precious" single, in order to avoid the album leaking out before its release date. Each copy has an individual number and the name of the person it was sent to, printed on it.'
