After stopping the Elite from unleashing a mass extinction, Magnavolt disappears into the wasteland. He is broken, burdened by his past, and unsure whether he has ever been a true savior or simply another weapon of destruction. His revenge is finished, but the scars it left on humanity and on his own spirit push him into self-exile.
While wandering the desert, Magnavolt discovers the forgotten metropolis known as Axion. It is a ruined ancient city where time feels frozen. Within its halls he meets Plythe, a warrior-priest who has been waiting for Magnavolt’s arrival, guided by prophecy and conviction. Plythe explains that Axion is the true stronghold of the Elite, the place where their power began and where their downfall must be completed.
Magnavolt is exhausted and hollow, unwilling to continue the violence that has defined his life. Plythe insists that the only path forward is to awaken the dormant force within him. This inner beast is the very power Magnavolt fears, yet it may be the only thing capable of ending the Elite forever. To unlock it, Plythe forces him to confront the memories he tried to bury, including the trauma that the Elite carved into his past.
As Magnavolt journeys deeper into Axion, he becomes haunted by visions of his dead wife, Eva. She appears in moments of weakness, speaking with the familiar voice and comforting presence he once cherished. Her illusion tries to seduce him with the memory of the life they once had, urging him to abandon his mission. Magnavolt knows she is not real. She is a crafted deception forged by the Elite to weaken his resolve and pull him away from his purpose.
Magnavolt understands that this battle has no return. He is ready to finish what he started, no matter the cost. Caught between Plythe’s call for rebirth and Eva’s haunting illusions, he must decide who he will become. He must choose whether he will remain a man haunted by his past or transform himself into the force that will destroy the Elite once and for all.
In Axion, every step is a battle against the world, against the Elite, and against the depths of his own mind.
