Eldric journeyed to Castle Black to face the dragon Vorgoth, the creature who had slain his father on a distant battlefield.
Vorgoth had known that Eldric’s bloodline guarded a blade passed down
through generations, the only weapon capable of ending him.
Amid the ruined walls of the Black Castle, knight and dragon clashed in a battle that shook stone and fire alike.
In the end, both fell, their bodies consumed by blood and smouldering ash.
Yet with death, the ancient bond of hatred was broken. Their spirits
fused into a sacred, ghostly guardian, bound forever to watch over the
kingdom.
