Pygmy Children, the Baltimore-based electro-industrial duo of brothers Brian and Pete Roper, return from the shadows with Coincidental Strategies, their first full-length album since Low Life Dream (1998, Out of Line Records). Set for release in fall 2025 via Re:Mission Entertainment, the record marks a bold new chapter in a discography that includes Deconstruct (1995, Cleopatra Records) and their raw, self-released debut Malignant (1994).
Known for their aggressive synths, complex rhythms, and sample-heavy song structures that induce psychological tension, Pygmy Children stretch deeper into unease on Coincidental Strategies. Distorted vocals cut through acoustic drum textures stitched into cold, mechanical grooves. The result is a raw blend, tense and blurred between flesh and circuitry. It’s their first release in over two decades, and the band’s cult following has never been more ravenous.
To support the release, Pygmy Children will join fellow industrial legends Mentallo & The Fixer on their Resurrection Tour, a short East Coast run that marks a return to form. Proof that even after decades of silence, the underground still has teeth.
