In the nineties, the Last Influence of Brain (LIOB) project was born on the Slovak electro-industrial scene as an side project of Samhain. LIOB's main goal was to experiment with EBM sound and bring a new musical approach to the local scene, and for its founding members it was initially more about creative fun than a serious project. However, the situation in Slovakia in the post-communist nineties was not easy for electronic musicians. The instruments needed to create this style were either very hard to find or their prices were astronomical, which severely limited the possibilities of production. Nevertheless, LIOB did not give up and tried to bring EBM and electro-industrial music closer to the Slovak audience. The first years of the band's existence were dominated by live performances and the recording of various demo tracks, which were created in homemade conditions. After more than 25 years, we now bring you these authentic recordings as a reminder of LIOB's early days. These are demo versions of the songs that preceded the release of their 2003 debut album "Illusions and Reality". This collection captures the energy, experimentation and enthusiasm with which the music was created back then and offers a look into the past of the Slovak EBM scene.
