Two years after their previous album ‘Sundancing’ (AVANT! 2023) Swiss throbbing synth pop duo Veil of Light is back with their 7th studio album, offering 10 all new tracks!
The Swiss duo started their career back in 2013 with a string of singles and their debut album in 2014 on the cult label 'Beläten', followed by a mini album on 'Manic Depression' in 2015 and the 2nd album 'Ursprung' on Berlin-based 'Aufnahme+Wiedergabe'. If you have followed the Zurich-based outfit over the past few years, you must have noticed the constant moving towards 80’s FM new wave and synthpop tones – without losing their electro/body music outline. 4 albums on the Italian label AVANT! are now followed by their first album on German Young & Cold Records.
10 new, dancy and bright tunes with emotional depth that blend lush instrumentation and robust rhythms, guided by funky and rubbery basslines. Check out the first two singles ‘Water Guns’ and ‘A confession’! The song ‘Take Shelter’ is a collaboration with Carlo Onda, (also known as Karl Kave).
