While TALK TALK might have began as a fairly typical synth-pop band that was formed in 1981 by Mark Hollis (vocals, guitar, piano), Lee Harris (drums), Paul Webb (bass), and Simon Brenner (keyboards), it was their eventual shifting of their attentions to a more experimental style that helped pave the way for the post-rock movement.
