Originally released in summer 2023 to coincide with Bestial Mouths' Florida tour, 'In Tongues' is intended as connective tissue between several generations of the Orlando underground. Bestial Mouths' front person and mainstay Lynette Cerezo is originally from Orlando, Florida - fore many years now the headquarters of Popnihil - and we wanted to pay tribute to the continued inspiration her singular creativity. 'In Tongues' sees some of the best of the Orlando dark-electronic scene (and beyond) deconstruct and dissect the music of Bestial Mouths. The results are exciting and confounding and endlessly listenable. The album includes remises from BRAT, Ootheca, Mother Juno, Fjshwjfe, Zoya Zafar, Jas000n, Cold Medicine and Glass Chapel. The album also features a newer track from Bestial Mouths dubbed 'LostIn" and an exclusive collaboration between Miami post-punk legends Element 104 and Cerezo. This is the sound of Florida gothic music circa NOW. But this is NOT a gothic album. This IS a love letter to being an outsider in and creating singular art in Central Florida. We look out for each other.
