Disco In The Basement is a debut album by Pastel City Lights, a project composed and arranged by San Antonio artist Joshua Kindla (of LOVE LIGHTS DRIVING) who composes bedroom pop music inspired by daydreams, nature hikes and Casio instruction manuals. Disco In The Basement is a collection of stories each unlike the other. It features Jameson-esque bass lines, unexpected outros, and the classic synthesizer and drum machine marriage like you would hear on the radio in the 1980's, all tied together into one record. Throughout the record, Kindla shines the spotlight on collaborators such as bass player Leeroy Maguraushe who brings a Motown resemblance to songs such as 'Clean Up In Aisle 4', and Victorya Ross who's powerful vocals can be heard on Tallest Girl In The World.
