The new Black Asteroid EP “Flesh” brings the raw energy and experimental spirit that launched Black Asteroid 10 years ago. The second single, “Methane Rain” features vocals from legendary industrial band Front Line Assembly. The song also features a live bass, and marks a departure from the 4/4 techno of previous releases. This was intentional, as Bryan Black revisits his industrial rock roots on this EP. Black’s first band, Haloblack, was heralded as one of the top 10 industrial bands of the 90’s. In a moment when techno has left the underground and become an EDM parody of itself, Black has instead decided to experiment with live instruments, vocals and slower BPM’s.
