Somehow always successfully straddling the middle ground between synthpop and alternative rock with what seems like effortless ease, the pop sensibilities and silky smooth production of CYFERDYNE’s new single “Static” would surely sound equally at home on the radio or being belted out live from the stage of some open-air music festival in Germany where fellow British bands like MESH and more recently EMPATHY TEST have been so warmly embraced over the years. A second sample of their long-awaited new album (after last year’s “Breathe Deeper”), “Static” is released both digitally and in ultra-limited black-based CD format, backed with exclusive b-side “Like A Star” and (as with “Breathe Deeper” before it) a special extended mix of the title track for DJs.
