Trace Amount, described by Decibel Magazine as a “one-man sonic demolition unit”, teams up with Qual, William Maybelline of Lebanon Hanover’s self-proclaimed ‘cyber-sludge’ project to craft - Alien Dust. The EP is four tracks of auditory horror clocking in at just over 10 minutes. The collaboration worked remotely, as Trace Amount crafted the mechanical rhythms and vocals in Brooklyn, while Qual composed the nightmare inducing samples and synth compositions in Athens. Since its inception, Trace Amount has released an assortment of EPs and collaborations, most notably Endless Render, which was engineered and mixed by Ben Greenberg (Pharmakon, Soft Kill, Uniform) and features drummer Billy Rymer (The Dillinger Escape Plan). The project was praised by New Noise Magazine in a recent feature titled - The New Industrial Age. Earlier this year, Qual released his third full length - “ Tenebris In Lux '' defined by Post-Punk.com as “a horrifying glimpse into the world of death cults, the tragedy of pandemic, and cataclysmic doom”.
