Creating quite a buzz ( ! ) in the underground alternative scene
FlyKKiller reveal the combined results of their sonic
malevolence on their much-anticipated debut album "Experiments
In Violent Light". These electronically simulated musical
transmissions bring to mind the sharply cold genetically mutated
sounds of Sweden's The Knife and the feral outpourings of
Siouxsie Sioux and the Creatures. Minimalist beats punctuate
song lines like spiked Gothic turrets and with a pummelling band
behind her front woman Pati Yang whispers and wails enchanting
songs like threatening spells : Each song a disturbed vignette
transforming into a David Lynch-like story, whilst the
underlying beats stutter through minimal beats and mechanical
breaks with Electro finesse. This is synapse - sizzling Electro
Rock linked by soulful Gothic vocals and warped
horror-soundtrack atmospheres...very, very recommended !
Behind the FlyKKiller conspiracy are : Pati Yang who is one of
Poland's most acclaimed electronic artists (who released a
critically revered album at 18 years old) - an electronic
balladeer whose sirenesque tones and joy of experimentation in
music and the arts have earned her artistic acclaim as well as
stadium tour support for Depeche Mode. Stephen Hilton is the
musical partner of David Holmes, co founder of The Free
Association, and the beats behind many soundtracks for films
plus he has produced albums with the likes of Pulp, Depeche Mode
and Trevor Horn. Stephen also co-wrote with Siouxsie Sioux on
her new album "Mantaray.
