Four years in the making, Cruise Control is the debut synthwave / pop album from Max Cruise.
A powerhouse of '80s inspired tracks filled with lush synthesizers, huge drum fills and reverb-drenched sax solos, the album features the vocal talents of Pat DiMeo (The Motion Epic) and Alessandra Gonzalez (Cirque du Soleil) across eight original compositions, several co-written with DiMeo, plus two covers of iconic '80s hits; Send Me An Angel (originally by Australian group Real Life), and Never Ending Story, the theme song from the 1984 movie The NeverEnding Story (by Giorgio Moroder and Keith Forsey and originally sung by Limahl).
Produced by Benjamin Harrison, the album was mixed by Ben Wood (Béyonce, Kylie Minogue, Mick Jagger) at Delta King Studios and mastered by Ben Feggans at Studios 301 in Sydney, Australia.
Max Cruise is Benjamin Harrison, an independent songwriter/composer/producer and multi-instrumentalist originally from Adelaide, Australia and now based in Sydney. Having performed for millions of people across five continents as a bandleader and musician on several Cirque du Soleil touring shows, Benjamin is now embarking on a new musical journey as Max Cruise, combining his deep love of the nostalgic synth-driven sounds of the '80s with modern production, big choruses and epic saxophone solos.
