baṣnia is a melancholic music project inspired by post punk, alternative pop and ethereal wave. In this very diversified debut album, you discover a variety of interesting and original inter-genre music fusions. The lyrics deal with social rejection, loneliness, intolerance, physical and psycho-logical violence.
“It doesn't make sense to wish upon the star, nobody will come and change what we are doing - we are destroying everything around us and each other. This is the meaning of the title and the main idea behind the album.” - explains vocalist and composer Baśnia Lipińska.
The album was recorded, mixed and produced by Waldemar Sorychta - responsible for the sound of albums of such bands as The Gathering, Lacuna Coil, Moonspell or Tiamat.
