Skink is the debut release by Newbury, UK based electronica artist Paul Mulholland. The album is the fruits of five years of labour.
The tracks were recorded in a variety of locations and situations and mirror a musical and personal journey. Although the album takes is influenced by bands such as Boards of Canada, Brian Eno, Plaid and the ambient works of Richard D. James (AFX, Aphex Twin), Skink manages to create his own identity amongst these pioneers.
The album touches on many musical styles from the sparse piano opening track "Nothing" to the dark unsettling ambience of "Minutes turn to Hours" to the melodic and dreamlike "Who we are?"
