Inspired by cold Wave and 80s dancefloor ecstasy, Urban Electro and contemporary light and video art, Rue Oberkampf have been creating audiovisual structures since the end of 2016. Their lyrics address emotional states shaped by forlornness and contemplation and take their influence from French fin de siecle literature. Through their experience as DJs as well as through elements of classical music and Electroclash, Rue Oberkampf create pieces between buildup, rapture and tranquility, transcending genre boundaries. On the heels of their earlier floor fillers Caméra and Congélation of 2017, their debut album Waveclash will be released by No Emb Blanc / Genetic Music in 2018.
